Rare species of aquatic flora have also been identified in the many gnammas (rock wells and rock pools) on the property.
Spring Soaks
Several large spring soaks exist on the property's western slopes. Normally there is nothing much to see at these sites – just rather bare or sparsely grassed patches of ground. But in very wet seasons, these soaks come to life with a host of ephemeral, specialised floral species.
Spring Soak Woodland is listed as vulnerable and the soaks at Mt Korong are currently being monitored by the Wedderburn Conservation Management Network and considered for listing as Threatened Ecological Communities under the Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act 1988.
